Care Gaming has a duel social purpose. Firstly, we are working with partners to
understand how esports and virtual reality might reduce loneliness and social
isolation; reduce the risk factors for dementia; and aid stroke survivors’
recovery for those over the age of 50 years. In addition, we are also
delivering purposeful research and thought leadership around the impacts of
gaming, gambling and technology on humanity.
To support
our work for those aged 50 years and over, we are looking for a highly
organised, hands-on, Founding, Advisory Group Chair. The role will be to work
with us to establish, recruit volunteer members and then lead the Advisory
Group.
As volunteer
Chair, our team will work with you to scope the brief of the Advisory Group and
ensure we are able to attract a diverse range of voices, skills, expertise and
those with lived experience. To maintain focus we would propose the Advisory
Group has an initial focus on providing expert counsel, advice and hands-on
assistance to:
It is our
desire that our Founding Chair has a strong health background as a clinician or
senior leader from within the sector. We welcome applicants who are just
starting out on their career, or those who are established within the sector. You’ll
have the opportunity to work alongside a very friendly, talented and kind team
who are working collaboratively to find their place within the health tech
space and deliver some incredible health outcomes.
Renumeration: Initially this would be a voluntary
role, like many of the team who are helping to use their expertise and
experience to help society.
