Training

Our Level 3 qualification in VR Healthcare, combined with access to our consistently updated Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), will give even the most tech nervous professionals the skills, knowledge and confidence to include and embed virtual reality enrichment activities into your weekly programme for those in your care.

Our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)

A VLE or Virtual Learning Environment, is a digital platform for teaching and learning. It hosts course materials, facilitates online assignments and enables seamless communication with care professionals undertaking the Level 3 qualification in VR Healthcare

Our VLE currently contains two modules:

  • An Introduction to THE DOMES and Community Care Gaming
    Everything you need to know about our mission, the evidence that underpins our mission and how you can contribute to our evaluation process.

  • How To Use Your Virtual Reality Headset and Health & Safety
    Everything required to get you started including the technology you will be using, and how to plan and structure a VR workshop with those in your care.

New modules and updates will be added regularly, and you will be notified as they become available. Good practise guides are also included and the opportunity to meet and engage with other professionals delivering virtual reality to those in their care.

Level 3 qualification in VR Healthcare

Our Level 3 Qualification in VR Health Care is an award-sized Ofqual-registered qualification which achieved through 60 guided learning hours. To achieve the 60 hours requirement, learners will undertake some pre- course reading; a one day train the trainer workshop; an introduction to the modules in the Virtual Learning Environment; a short test and finally we will support you to deliver your first session to those in your care.   

An achievable pass rate of 90% or more will secure your qualification. Our Awarding Body is The Learning Machine, who are regulated by Ofqual in England and recognised by Qualifications Wales.
